LPGA Partners with B&A to Enhance the Fan Experience at LPGA Tour Events

Fans will be able to get closer to the action than ever before through live maps, and advanced player and course analytics

DAYTONA BEACH – B&A, a leading information technology systems integrator, has partnered with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and is working to enhance the fan experience at LPGA Tour events through new advanced interactions and innovative solutions via a mobile application.

The LPGA's Fan Experience App, available free of charge on the App Store for iOS devices, was officially launched for the 2019 season at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Fla.

The next generation functionality of this app will provide golf fans at LPGA Tour events, and even those following along at home, with access to unprecedented real-time information. The incorporation of Internet of Things (IoT), mobility, live maps and advanced player and course stats will provide greater insight into tournament play and allow fans to get closer to the action than ever before. Fans will also be able to go back-and-forth from this new app to the complementary LPGA Now app, which includes information such as expanded scoring, video, highlights, features, interviews and player profiles.

"This is an opportunity for us to draw on the technologies and solutions we have developed in the Federal marketplace and apply them to helping the LPGA deliver a great experience for fans," said Jonathan Evans, President and CEO of B&A. "We are excited to be working with the LPGA and enhancing the enjoyable environment created at tournaments."

In partnership with B&A, the LPGA is embracing new ways of interacting with its fans and incorporating the latest technologies and digitized solutions to provide deeper engagement and a more immersive experience.

"We are always looking at ways to improve the fan experience at LPGA Tour events, and this exciting opportunity with B&A allows us to do exactly that," said Brian Carroll, the LPGA's Senior Vice President of Global Media Distribution. "Through the LPGA's Fan Experience App, spectators can obtain a wide range of real-time information, such as interactive course maps, day-by-day events at the tournament, and much more. By using this app, fans will benefit from greater insight and increased engagement with the LPGA."

The App Store is a digital distribution platform, developed and maintained by Apple Inc., for mobile apps on its iOS operating system.
