Jazz roars into lead at Chiang Mai Open

Chiang Mai - World No 74 Jazz Janewattananond fired a third round 68 to take a stroke lead over Kwanchai Tannin in the Bt2 million Singha Chiang Mai Open at the Mae Jo Golf Resort and Spa on Saturday.

The three-time Asian Tour winner sank four birdies against a lone bogey on the 18th hole to lead day three on 14 under-par-199 at the par 71 6,603 yard layout.

"The golf course is a bit harder so the score was not as low as it was on Friday. But I'm still happy with my round and I'm still on top of the game," said Jazz whose last victory on the All Thailand Golf Tour occured in the Singha Classic in 2017.

"It's going to be tight tomorrow as Kwanchai and Raththee are pretty good golfers. My game plan is the same which is to try to hit more fairways, hit more greens and hole some putts."

Jazz is in his second appearance on the ATGT this year after the Boonchu Runagkit Championship in January.

A stroke behind is Kwanchai who hit a third round 69 for a total 13 under-par-200 with Raththee Sirithanakunsak coming at third on 201.
