Thailand score first win in World Cup warm-up
Thailand women’s football team finally found a key booster for their World Cup campaign after they demolished Kontich FC 9-0 in a friendly game in Belgium on Tuesday.
The victory helped Thailand to restore their pride after losing back-to-back warm-up games to World Cup host France (0-3) and Belgium (1-6) in 10 days.
The Nuengrutai Srathongvian’s team will return to France tomorrow to prepare for the World Cup which runs between June 7 – July 7. The Kingdom are in the same group along with defending champion and world No 1 USA, Sweden, No 9, and Chile, No 39.
The Thai team kicks off their actions against the US on June 11 at Roazhon Park, Rennes.
