Energy Capital Vietnam (ECV), a US-based project holding and development company established in 2015 to serve as a platform for private investment into Vietnam, has announced that B.Grimm Power of Thailand and Siemens Energy have joined its consortium to develop an LNG-to-power project in Mui Ke Ga (MKG), Binh Thuan Province in Southern Vietnam.

UVBGPs acquisition of the entire stakes of E-COGEN means the immediate gaining of the ownership of the three co-generation assets with a combined installed capacity of 360 megawatts (MW) operated by E-COGENs subsidiaries. UVBGPs acquisition of E-COGEN is expected to be completed by 2021.

BGRIM is operating 48 power plants and has set its sights on raising its Power Purchasing Agreements capacity from 3,682 MW in 2020 to 7,200 MW in 2025 and further to 10,000 MW in 2030. The company also aims an annual revenue target of more than 100 billion baht with a strong financial structure.
