THE CABINET yesterday agreed to extend the period during which tax deductions can be claimed for donations to flood victims and approved plans for the hiring of welfare recipients to repair damaged infrastructure in the flood-affected areas.

The government is planning to require educational institutions to be flexible with female students who become pregnant while in school.
