Metropolitan Police Bureau commissioner Lt-General Charnthep Sesawet on Tuesday admitted that the Thai amulet expert known only by the alias “Aoun Loyfa” and his team had visited and offered New Year blessings to him last year when he served as Metropolitan Police Area 1 chief.

The Criminal Court on Wednesday will rule on a major human-trafficking case involving as many as 103 defendants, including a senior military officer, Manas Kongpan.
