No one likes dealing with a difficult situation. But now is the time to get things done for Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which will hold an election next month to replace its chairperson, President Tsai Ing-wen, following the party’s crushing defeat in last month’s local elections.

I completely agree with Privy Council president Prem Tinsulanonda’s wise advice to PM Prayut: behave as positive role model, especially in displaying traditional Thai virtues.
