France has reported 1,000 excess deaths as extreme heat, storms and warming rivers disrupt healthcare, transport and energy systems across Europe.

The blowing up of large rocks on the Mae Sot-Tak highway's Pha Raka area in Tak's Mae Sot district as part of the ongoing project to expand the road surface started on Wednesday and would run from 9am-9.454am daily until July 7.
