The Interior Ministry issued an urgent order to local government organisations nationwide to postpone the collection of land and building tax of 2021 for two months, in a bid to alleviate the financial burden of people during a new wave of Covid-19 outbreak.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has announced that land and property tax exceeding Bt3,000 can be paid in instalments and that the payment deadline has been extended from end August to October 31.
