Starbucks Coffee Japan, Ltd. will launch the sale of silicone rubber straws at most of its stores nationwide on Wednesday as an effort to reduce plastic waste.

The Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) is promoting agricultural waste processing instead of burning and has collaborated with companies in its network to purchase the waste at Bt1,000 per tonnes, said president Kalin Sarasin.
