Protesters gathering at the Democracy Monument started burning objects and throwing glass bottles at police. Some demonstrators were arrested and their sound amplifiers were seized during a police operation.

A sample of the solution police fired at pro-democracy protesters on Tuesday has tested positive for four different chemicals which burn the eyes and skin.
