The tenth annual edition of the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) reveals attacks are more deadly with 26% more people dying in each incident - the first rise in lethality in five years.

Kofi Annan, who chaired Rakhine State Advisory Commission, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, issued a statement on August 25, saying that he expressed condolences to security guards who had lost their life in the terrorist attacks happening in the northern Rakhine State.
