Concerned that online payment systems suffered temporary breakdowns in the past few days, the Bank of Thailand (BOT) is monitoring the situation closely in order to solve problems as soon as possible, said Siritida Panomwon na Ayudhya, the BOT assistant governor of payment systems policy and financial technology.

Thailand's Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and three Cambodian commercial banks will jointly provide QR payment service between the two countries, said Bank of Thailand Governor Veerathai Santiprabhob and National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) Governor Chea Chanto in a joint announcement today (February 18).
