Feast for winter’s end

Yamazato, the award-winning Japanese restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok, is presenting new Gozen and Kaiseki set menus for the Setsubun Bean Throwing Festival, which runs from January 28 to February 6. The Setsubun Festival in Japan marks the final day of winter in the ancient Japanese calendar. Setsubun literally means the “day before Spring”. The rituals include bean throwing to keep away evil spirits and the eating of an Ehomaki roll whilst facing towards the “lucky direction” for that year. The Gozen set menu is priced at Bt900 and the seven-course Kaiseki dinner at Bt3,000. Book a table at (02) 687 9000 or email [email protected].
