Best Western Hotels & Resorts has opened a new property on the Indonesian island of Batam, just a short ferry ride from Singapore.

This hotel features 233 spacious contemporary rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase stunning views of Batam and the Malacca Strait.
Guests can expect to enjoy a wealth of facilities including an outdoor pool, a spa and a modern fitness centre. Dining at the hotel is a pleasure, with a ground floor restaurant providing local and international dishes throughout the day and a rooftop restaurant serving cuisine. A karaoke room provides further entertainment.
With a cutting-edge function space include a ballroom, the new property is expected to become a hub for business and social events. Corporate clients can also take advantage of professional services at the business centre, and Wi-Fi is free-of-charge throughout the hotel.
“With its close proximity to Singapore and status as a free trade zone, Batam has experienced incredible growth in recent years,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s managing director of International Operations – Asia.
“It is now a major economic gateway to Indonesia and the broader Asean region, and we are delighted to be able to provide Batam’s rising number of visitors with a new international upscale hotel that showcases the very best of our brand.”
Best Western now operates 15 hotels across Indonesia in Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Solo, Bandung, Manado, Makassar, Malang and Palu. Best Western Premier Panbil becomes the company’s second Indonesian hotel to open this month, following the launch of the Best Western The Lagoon Hotel in Manado, Sulawesi.
