Thai AirAsia resumes service to Sapporo

Thai AirAsia resumes service to Sapporo

If you’re planning a trip to Northern Japan this year, hurry and book your flights.

Thai AirAsia X recently announced its new promotion on daily direct flights from Bangkok to Sapporo, kicking off on April 10 at a promotional fare starting at only Bt3,999 per trip (one-way ticket).
You can book anytime from now until January 28 for travel between April 10 and October 27. Premium Flat Bed Class seats are also available at only Bt12,900 per trip.
Chief executive Nadda Buranasiri says that the airline is delighted to be bringing back flights from Don Mueang to Sapporo, the capital city of Hokkaido.  The route is the first addition by Thai AirAsia X following the lifting of Thailand’s red flag by the International Civil Aviation Organization, or ICAO.  Hokkaido is a high-potential destination and is already second only to Tokyo in terms of most popular places to visit in Japan among Thai travellers.
The island can be visited year-round with distinct charms both in the summer and winter and is best known for its wealth of seafood, especially the ever popular Taraba Crab.  Visitors can enjoy Sapporo’s catchy travel concept “Eat Crab, Watch Bears, Go Skiing, See the Lavender”.
The addition of Sapporo offers a new travel option for both Thai and foreign travellers, including those in Japan who wish to take advantage of low fares to Thailand.  Thai AirAsia X is an expert in the Japanese market and is always seeking out new opportunities.  This year, Nadda believes the aviation industry will likely grow significantly and notes that many airlines are planning expansion programmes.  The high activity should prove beneficial to both the airline and tourism industries and offer great value to travellers.
Thai AirAsia X currently flies direct from Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport) to Seoul three times a day; to Tokyo twice daily; to Osaka, also twice daily, and once a day to Shanghai. In 2018, Thai AirAsia X is targeting acquiring 3 more Airbus A330 airplanes and by the end of 2018 will have a fleet of 9 aircraft to support its expanding network of destinations and flights.
To celebrate the new route, AirAsiaGO, the online travel booking website and AirAsia partner, is offering a special 4-day, 3-night package including hotel, flight and taxes starting at Bt11,999. It can be booked before January 28 for travel between April 10 and October 27. The site is also providing promo coupon code AAGTH12 for a 12-per-cent discount when booking a hotel at www.AirAsiaGo.com from today to March 31 for stays between now and December 31.
