The United States’ national debt has surpassed $40 trillion, potentially having a significant impact on global financial markets, including Thailand’s economy.

While volatility in the Thai baht may occur, Dr. Pimnara Hirankasi, Head of the Research Division and Chief Economist at Bank of Ayudhya PCL (Krungsri), said this would have the least significant impact on the Thai economy.

Peter Lan, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, emphasised the importance of establishing channels of communication for future cooperation in the semiconductor and high-tech industries.
