There’s no such thing as a Buddhist Trump supporter

Re: “Consciousness is better described by Sanskrit or Pali than by English”, Have Your Say, yesterday.

Michael Setter tells us he’s a practising Buddhist. Then how can he support an intolerant, vulgar bully such as Donald Trump?

Or why would Setter question the patriotism of those who oppose expanding the stupid border wall whose only purpose was for Trump to pay back the right-wing loons who voted for him? (That’s also the reason he moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem, which led to the unnecessary death and bloodshed of children.)

Wouldn’t a “real” Buddhist respect the fact that perfectly patriotic people may have a sincere difference of opinion of what’s in the best interest of their country?

But aren’t we lucky to have among us the  “practising Buddhist” Michael Setter and the “libertarian” Nigel Pike who are so intolerant that they make me look like Mr Congeniality!
