Trump may not save the world, but he is entertaining
Re: “Proof is abundant that Trump will save the world”, Have Your Say, February 11.
HHB told us that Trump has done more in two short years than any other US president did in four or eight years.
That claim reminds me of the speech Trump gave at the UN in September. He, too, said he had accomplished more than “almost any administration” in US history. To his bewilderment, he was greeted with peals of laughter. Trump admitted that he “didn’t expect” that reaction – but that it was “just fine”.
If Trump really meant what he said, I think the audience was rude to laugh. Or perhaps they thought Trump meant it to be a joke so they courteously went along with it. Beats me.
