Trump just annexed moral high ground of international law
The president of the world’s superpower told us last week that not only is it okay to steal your neighbour’s property, but after illegally sitting on the loot long enough you may publicly confiscate the booty and with full US support declare it is rightfully yours!
This places international relations, not to mention universal law, in a dangerous new perspective.
With its annexation of the illegally occupied Golan Heights, part and parcel of Syria, the rogue state of Israel has once again placed itself outside the family of civilised nations. By condoning this greedy and deplorable behaviour, the present leadership in Washington, always ready to lecture and correct others, has proven to be no better!
