The cradle of democracy now stands almost empty

Re: “Fake democracy more damaging than military government”, Have Your Say, April 15.

There is only one country left in Europe with a democratic parliamentary system, and that is Switzerland.

Germany has been betrayed by Chancellor Merkel, the same Merkel who in 2011 openly declared that multiculturalism is not realistic and workable. Today’s Germany is a disgrace to Ludwig van Beethoven, Friedrich Schiller, JS Bach and so many more outstanding Germans unique in their fields.

Then we have France, where the citizens were duped by the fake media into believing that Macron was the solution to its problems.  The gilets jaunes (yellow-vested protesters) prove the contrary; he is simply the tool of the cabal with its seat in the City of London.

And Theresa May presents almost daily a playbook concocted and dictated by the unelected commissars in Brussels, the dictatorship without a face.

It is a Europe that has been betrayed from its inception, as stated in a quote often attributed to one of its founders, Jean Monet: “Europe’s nations should be guided towards the superstate without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation.”

It is more than clear that Europe’s citizens were misled from the beginning and are now being led to the ultimate goal of the New World Order stooges in Brussels.

Lifeboat, or ship of fools?

Re: “Two boats in which to navigate life’s wild and steely sea”, Have Your Say, yesterday.

A question for “A Bangkok Theist”: Which of all the world’s gods do you believe exists? I am guessing that it is the Christian god, as you mention Luke 16:31 at the end of your letter. Can I assume that you believe that the Bible is the literal word of your god? This would mean that the evils of which you spoke had their origin sometime after Adam’s former rib (Eve) had a one-on-one chat with some talking snake about a tasty looking apple. I take it that you believe that these two fruit-eating sinners were not “saved by Grace”... and that “original sin” will haunt humanity until the end of time.

I’ll stick with my boat.
