SET INDEX HITS FRESH HIGH
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index yesterday closed at a fresh high of 1,791.02, up 12.49 points or 0.7 per cent from Wednesday, with a total trade value of Bt90.81 billion.
But foreign investors recorded net sales of Bt1.07 billion.
“Thailand’s stock exchange has been rising since the start of trading this year as investors remain confident in Thailand’s economic growth while listed companies reported high net profits,” DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand) Co Ltd’s chief executive officer Pattera Dilokrungthirapop said.
The Centre for Economic and Business Forecasting of the Thai Chamber of Commerce University yesterday expected growth of 4.5 per cent for the local economy this year.
