Centara’s Maldive resorts land World Luxury Hotel Awards

The Centara Grand Island Resort and Spa Maldives won a continent award for leading “Luxury Family Beach Resort” in the Indian Ocean.
The Centara Ras Fushi Resort and Spa Maldives won a similar award for the Indian Ocean’s leading “Luxury Adult Beach Resort”.
The Centara Grand Island Resort is known for its stunning location atop South Ari Atoll in the Maldives, seemingly floating on a lagoon above a coral reef.
The Centara Ras Fushi Resort is also on its own island, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport in the Maldivian capital.
“These awards recognise our efforts to make these two resorts an exceptional, first-class experience for our guests,” said the area general manager of Centara’s Maldives properties, Prapaijit Thongma.
The Maldives are consistently ranked among the most beautiful tropical islands and desirable vacation destinations in the world.
Clear turquoise water, superb diving, endless horizons and unspoiled atolls make the island nation one of the world’s unique and special places.
The “World Luxury Hotel Awards” were established in 2006 to reflect the opinions of guests and travel industry professionals.
Over 300,000 international travellers vote each year to select the winners.
