Fire engulfs Klongthom Centre ground floor, reaches mezzanine
Crews from nine fire stations were mobilised to the market, while the Rama 199 Radio Centre said the blaze had not spread to adjoining buildings by 9.15pm.

The Rama 199 Radio Centre received a report at 8.42pm on Friday (August 28, 2026) of a fire inside Klongthom Centre on Worachak Road in Pom Prap subdistrict, Pom Prap Sattru Phai district.
Firefighters were using water to tackle the blaze.
The centre said at 8.50pm that the fire had started in a shop on the ground floor of Klongthom Centre.
Crews from nine fire stations, Suan Mali, Phaya Thai, Banthat Thong, Bang Rak, Phukhao Thong, Samsen, Phahon Yothin, Bang Pho and Sutthisan, were urgently mobilised to tackle the blaze.
The Rama 199 Radio Centre said at 9.15pm that the fire was burning across the entire ground floor and on the mezzanine of Klongthom Centre, but had not spread to adjoining buildings.
