Japan's Motegi voices serious concern over Iran situation

Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Friday informed his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa'ar, of Tokyo's serious concern over the situation in Iran following the US-Israeli attacks on the country.

During their phone calls, Motegi also urged Sa'ar to work to calm the situation as soon as possible.

In addition, Motegi asked the Israeli minister to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals in Israel and support their departure from the country.

Sa'ar stated that Israel is ready to cooperate.

Motegi and Sa'ar agreed to continue close communication over the Iran situation. The phone calls were made at Israel's request.
