"Urgent" meeting held Wednesday on smog

Pollution Control Department and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on Wednesday hold an urgent meeting on Wednesday in their latest efforts to battle with  the persistent smog while dust particles continued to blanket the capital.

The Pollution Control Department and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration held an urgent meeting on Wednesday to discuss fresh efforts to counter health risks posed by smog that continues to blanket the capital.

The authorities have thus far focused on cleaning roads more often, spraying water in the air, creating artificial rain and strictly enforcing laws against vehicle exhaust, but to little avail.

The meeting was participated with all authorities concerned. The outcome of the meeting was not known at time of publication.
