Gold price turbulence returns today, as the Gold Traders Association adjusted the prices 22 times as of 5.18pm.
The most turbulent time was recorded in August when the association adjusted the prices 19 times.
Of all adjustments, 13 show the combined increase of Bt900 per baht weight, while the remaining 9 are for the reductions totalling Bt850. This is influenced by the volatile gold markets, as the spot prices vary from US$1,875 per ounce to $1,915.
Following the latest move, gold bar is sold at Bt26,850 per baht weight while gold ornament costs Bt27,250. During the day, gold bar hit a new record high at Bt27,100.
