“As a new face in the slimming and beauty market, we are underlining branch expansion as the first priority to boost revenue,” Punnapa Techarojkul, president of Miracle Beauty Spa, said yesterday. The firm is the operator of Slim Concept outlets.
“After launching four months ago, we’ve witnessed impressive growth with each branch’s monthly receipts at Bt30 million,” she said.
The company operates seven Slim Concept outlets in many shopping malls in Bangkok including The Mall Ngam Wongwan, Seacon Square, Future Park Rangsit and Central Plaza branches in Lat Phrao, Rama II, Pinklao and Bang Na.
This quarter, another centre will open in Central Rama IX.
Total investment for this year is estimated at about Bt100 million.
Each Bt10million branch would reach breakeven within one year. Since monthly sales are expected to double to Bt60 million per branch by yearend, the company believes its revenue target of Bt100 million this year is attainable.
About 70 per cent of its capitalexpenditure budget would be used for slimming equipment imported from Japan and for construction. The rest was for marketing and communications.
Slim Concept will continue to spend more than Bt450 million on the rollout throughout the country, with Bt350 million earmarked for 12 new branches next year and the rest for 10 more in the following year.
Hitech slimming equipment and Vagghegi beauty products imported from Italy would attract more customers, mainly women aged 35-45.
The company is confident in succeeding to take its sales to Bt600 million and its market share to 20 per cent next year. That would make it second in the slimming and beauty market worth about Bt3 billion and growing by 5-7 per cent a year, she added.
