Having mobilised more than Bt400 million, the Thai Stock Market Flood Relief Fund has been helping flood victims for nearly a month.

The latest effort has been launched in cooperation with Mae Fahluang Foundation to distribute vegetable seedlings to 40,000 households in eight provinces – Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Lop Buri, Uthai Thani, Sing Buri, Angthong and Ayutthaya.
Sompol Kiatpaibool, chairman of the Stock Exchange of Thailand which contributed Bt250 million to the fund, said the seedlings should help the affected farmers stand on their own feet and increase income.
The fund has so far distributed more than 10,000 relief bags, boats and floating toilets to flood victims.
