The Yetagun gas field was shut down on Dec 29.
In a statement, PTT said that the shutdown sent no impact on power generating and industrial gas feed in Thailand thanks to cooperation from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, the Energy Ministry, and the Energy Regulatory Commission.
PTT promised that the supply of natural gas for vehicle would return normal from Jan 8. All NGV stations in the west of Thailand would open as usual from Jan 9.
During the shutdown, PTT had to allocate gas from the Gulf of Thailand to the west, which is normally fed by gas from Burma.
