Gov. flood measures help boost consumer confidence

Thai consumer confidence index (CCI)climbed up for the first time in five months in December, aftermath of severe flood, according to the survey by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

The index was up from 71 points in November to 73.1 points last month.
Saowanee Thairungroj, president to the UTCC, said that Thai consumer confidence is likely to increase gradually during post-flood.

The government urgent measures to help enterprises and people rehabilitation will support an increase of consumer confidence this year.
