Esso supports Govt's decision

Esso (Thailand) Plc's free fuel campaign drew a long line of traffic to five of its fuel stations in the early morning of Jan 16.

The 2-hour campaign was launched to celebrate the government's decision to floate energy prices. Starting from today, the prices of natural gas for vehicles (LPG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for transport sector would be raised. The Oil Fund also raises the levy on petrol and diesel products.
Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul, drector and manager of Public & Government Affairs, Esso (Thailand), supported the government's decision, which would make fuel prices reflect the actual costs, encourage long-term saving among consumers, and create a long-term benefit to the economy.
The free fuel was available during 7-9am on Jan 16, at 5 stations (Ekamai, Lat Phrao 36, Praditmanutham, Phetburi and Nang Lerng), for car owners who had to fill up the tanks by themselves.
