Assuming his role in Thailand on Feb 27 would be John Christie, most recently CEO of Tesco in Slovakia and previous to that CEO of Tesco’s Japanese business.
Under Bush’s tenure, Tesco Lotus has continued to successfully grow as a business, whilst maintaining its focus on improving the shopping trip for its 35 million monthly customers. This has been achieved through initiatives such as the rollout of the Tesco Extra format, the introduction of the Green Line and the opening of Thailand and Asia’ first Zero Carbon store. It has also remained committed to supporting its staff, communities and business partners and contributing to Thailand’s economy and the country more broadly.
"Whilst I will of course be sad to leave the country, the strength of this team, coupled with the fact that John brings with him an immense amount of talent, energy and many years experience, means I depart confident in Tesco Lotus’ future,” Bush said in a statement.
