Eurostar extends booking period

Eurostar, the high-speed passenger rail service between Britain and continental Europe, is extending its booking horizon by four weeks this summer to cater to heightened demand.

Holidaymakers across the UK can now book tickets to Paris, Brussels and Lille for travel until August 15 rather than July 15, which is the typical Eurostar four-month booking horizon.
This is set to be a blockbuster year for European travel, with the Summer Olympic Games and Diamond Jubilee celebrations in London, the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris and hundreds of music and cultural festivals throughout France and Belgium.
“With so many exciting events happening across Europe, we expect this summer to be more popular than ever.
“This is why we’ve extended our summer booking horizon to five months, and we’re encouraging travellers to book early to avoid disappointment,” commercial director Nick Mercer said.
