BEC-Tero in e-book business
BEC-Tero Entertainment Co Ltd, a 60 per cent-owned business unit of BEC World Plc, is venturing into the electronic book market.
In a filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, BEC said that the subsidiary is forming a joint venture with App 24 Co Ltd, the owner of "4DBook" mobile application, and Anit Distributing Co Ltd.
BEC-Tero App Co Ltd, established with Bt1 million in registered capital, will be owned 40 per cent by BEC-Tero and 30 per cent each by the other two partners. It is designed to sell books and e-books online via "4DBook" application or other applications, as well as other related business.
