SCB's 2nd sub-debt issue sold out

Siam Commercial Bank's subordinated debentures worth Bt20 billion are fully subscribed in a single day.

In a statement, SCB President Kannikar Chalitaporn said the success reflects investors' confidence in the bank's financial strength and outstanding performance. "The bank is committeed to further satisfy customers with a variety of financial products that answer all needs," she said.
The proceeds from the 12-year subordinated debentures, offered to the general public during Sept 5-14, are to strengthen the bank's tier-2 capital and support future lending and business expansion. The bank in February raised Bt20 billion from a 10-year subordinated debt issue.
The debentures offer 4.65 per cent per annum, payable every three months.
