Fujitsu eyes 14% revenue growth

Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand) aims to boost revenue by 14 per cent this fiscal year from Bt2.3 billion last fiscal year by providing a full range of technology products, solutions and services, mainly to companies from Japan.

“We will also launch a services business, which will be humancentric, to bring an intelligent society to the Thai market,” president Masayuki Kunimaru said last week. Japan originated companies (JOC), including automobiles and parts makers, accounted for 73 per
cent of total revenue, while local businesses made up 25 per cent and others 2 per cent.
The firm’s marketing strategy this year would promote One Asia Integration, virtualisation, cloud
computing, business continuity, disaster recovery solutions as well as innovative products to support  both JOC and local market customers.
“In this fiscal year 2012, we will focus on cutting-edge technology solutions through collaboration
with our partner in order to boost competitiveness for customers and drive long-term business growth,” he said. Fujitsu in Japan forecasts 4.79 trillion yen (Bt1.88 trillion) in consolidated
net sales in fiscal 2012, of which services are expected to account for more than half, or 2.42
trillion yen, and the remaining 2.37 trillion yen from system platforms, ubiquitous solutions and device solutions.
The firm also expects its growth in Japan this year to be under 1 per cent and outside Japan to be 4 per cent. Its global net sales in 2011 reached 4.53 trillion yen, of which more than 66 per cent was from the Japanese market. The Asia-Pacific region plus China contributed 410.2 billion yen or 9.2 per cent.
