Ichitan rents warehouse in Pathum Thani in case of flood

Ichitan Group is renting a product warehouse in Pathum Thani for two months in case a massive flood swamps the Central region again this year.

The green-tea maker is also advancing deliveries to its local distributors.
It can serve market demand for about one and a half months by running its green-tea plant in Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya at 35 million bottles per month.
Tan Passakornnatee, president and chief executive officer, said yesterday that the facility now had pumps, a canal and water-detention barriers to ensure that it stays dry even if the flood level is similar to last year.
Ichitan expects sales of Bt3.5 billion for the full year, or 30 per cent of the market for ready-to-drink green tea worth Bt13 billion, which will be up 35-40 per cent from Bt9 billion last year.
Oishi leads the market with a 46-per-cent share, followed by Ichitan with 22 per cent and Puriku with 16 per cent.
