Wuttisak Cosmetic to spend Bt70m on marketing next year

Wuttisak Cosmetic, a leading beauty and skincare provider, yesterday announced that it would invest Bt70 million in marketing next year, extending its line of cosmetic products both in Thailand and potential overseas markets.

The company has appointed Thana “Chain” Limparaya, a well-known singer and actor, as its new marketing and public relations director.
The company will gradually offer new cosmetic products at its 120 Wuttisak beauty clinics throughout the Kingdom. It also has seven franchised beauty clinics outside the Kingdom: four in Laos, two in Cambodia and one in Vietnam.
“These days, the cosmetic market is very alert because the majority of people, especially the new generation, pay a lot more attention to beauty and skincare,” said Nakorn Kornhiran, chief executive officer of Wuttisak Clinic Group.

“This drives Wuttisak Cosmetic continuously to develop health and beauty products to serve the ever-growing demand, both domestic and overseas, and get ready for the AEC market [Asean Economic Community]. We have already opened seven branches in three neighbouring countries that use the same business model and aggressive marketing-budget allotment as in Thailand.
“Wuttisak Cosmetic has a policy to expand its product line to cover all customers’ needs by emphasising such sales channels as modern trade and convenience stores,” he said, noting that the company had increased its advertising and customer-relations budget significantly over last year.
Thana said: “I used to be Wuttisak’s pre-senter. I’m really glad for the chance to be a part of it. I have been personally interested in the beauty business for a long time and also have a family and individual business background.
“As the marketing and public relations director, the first target is to make cosmetic brands such as Gluta Healthi, Wuttisak Happytology skincare and Wuttisak Pharmacy well known.”
Wuttisak Cosmetic has four product categories: functional drinks, supplements, personal care and skincare, and cosmetics.  It was established in 2007, and now offers more than 300 health and beauty products.
