PTT Exploration and Production has opened a petroleum-development support base in Ranong to enhance exploration and production activities in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Mataban in Myanmar.
The Ranong support base will improve operating efficiency and maximise time and cost savings, and play an important role in stabilising Thailand’s economy and energy.
The base was established to provide support to E&P activities in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Mataban, consisting of the Zawtika, Myanmar M3, Myanmar M11 projects and other joint venture projects such as Yadana and Yetagun.
Besides enhancing E&P activities, the Ranong base, as PTTEP’s new support base after the one in Songkhla, will also improve logistics efficiency and maximise time and cost savings.
The base also plays an important role in stabilising the economy and energy, providing career opportunities for local communities and stimulating local businesses such as hotels, restaurants and shops, the company says.
