This quarter will see 99 firms, with combined market capitalisation of Bt4.1 trillion, participate in the event.
SET senior vice president Paveena Sriphotong said that since sectoral overviews of listed firms got a warm welcome from investors and listed firms when they were initiated last quarter, the exchange would continue this service in the upcoming Opportunity Days for five sectors, covering more 45 per cent of market value.
These sectors are petrochemicals and chemicals (PETRO), energy and utilities (ENERG), information and communication technology (ICT), property development (PROP), and the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI).
Leading analysts of KKTrade Securities Co and Maybank Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) will continue to present overviews of each industry.
Most of the 99 companies are in the five industry groups. This quarter’s event will include eight firms that listed this year: Energy Absolute (EA), East Coast Furnitech (ECF), Eureka Design (EUREKA), Filter Vision (FVC), MK Restaurant (M), MC Group (MC), Nok Airlines (NOK), and PTG Energy (PTG).
Opportunity Days make it convenient for analysts, investors and the media to find out about the business and operations of listed companies, and for firms to communicate with these key audiences, the SET says.
