Volunteers give 3,900 hours of community service

More than 1,800 Starbucks volunteer partners in Thailand have contributed 3,921 hours of community service in various activities over the past 10 months to celebrate the "Starbucks Global Month of Service", which takes place every April.

Led by managing director Murray Darling, volunteers joined the “Reading Therapy #3” project, which is considered one of the significant activities for this year.
The project – hosted in collaboration with the Books for Children Foundation – aims to help autistic and Down’s syndrome children at Rajanukul Institute to improve their communication and general social skills.
At the global level, Starbucks’ partners have so far dedicated more than 353,926 voluntary hours helping local communities through many activities, including book donations, community library renovation, public-garden planting, cleaning of public areas, and encouraging the use of recycled coffee grounds.
