Both airlines were listed as finalists against other global low cost airlines such as Jetstar Airways, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Virgin America.
Based on the on-time performance data of scheduled flights operated, which was gathered and deliberated by FlightStats, Thai AirAsia was ultimately named the victor of the category for achieving the highest on-time performance (OTP) in 2013.
