While in Thailand, Chinese tourists can seek some assistance from Total Access Communication (Dtac), the distributor of "Happy" SIM cards.
As part of a Chinese New Year celebration, Happy launches “Happy Chinese Assistant Service” specially for Chinese customers who use Happy Tourist SIM, pre-paid SIM or Chinese people living in Thailand.
This assistant service includes information regarding pre-paid SIM, package and promotion, phone setting procedures, guide to tourist attractions nationwide as well as language assistance when the Chinese customers need to communicate with Thai people.
Kasikorn Research Centre expected that the number of Chinese tourist arrivals this year would surpass 5 million and this will generate over Bt200 billion in revenue to the Thai tourism sector.
