“Through dedicated human resource development, Boshoku Automotive (Thailand) will pursue the manufacturing of high quality products, products that will meet and even exceed our customers’ expectations, thereby also contributing to the development of the region and the well-being of its people," said Shuhei Toyoda, president of Toyota Boshoku Corp.
Boshoku Automotive (Thailand) was established in 2013 with a capital of Bt482 million. It is 90 per cent owned by Toyota Boshoku and 10 per cent by Parker International Corp (Thailand).
"Though we just started operations in Thailand, we have rich experience as a premier manufacturer of automotive interior systems, offering customers worldwide with appealing, comfortable and safe automobile components.  We are ready to meet the needs of nearby automotive manufacturers in a quick and efficient manner and are confident that this will be a good response from customers," said Yoshitsugu Tanaka, president of Boshoku Automotive (Thailand).
The facility will supply global-standard automotive interior components, filter and powertrain for major global automotive manufacturers.
The company's products include seat fabrics, silencers, package trays and luggage mats.
Located in the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate in Rayong, it is the 9th manufacturing facility operating under the Toyota Boshoku group in Thailand.
"We intend to grow as a company that maintains a good relationship with local people. We are confident that we will be an integral part of the Thai automotive industry and to create jobs for the local workforce," Tanaka said.
