BEC-TERO Music is cooperating with Avex, a giant Japanese music company, to expand its Asian-music fan base, ascend to its "digital content hub" leadership and occupy all Asian market segments of J-rock and J-pop.

“This is the first house-wide cooperation for the Asian music market or between music labels,” Paul Manatthaworn, general manager of BEC-Tero Music, a unit of BEC-Tero Entertainment, said yesterday.
The company continues to join forces with leading partners to offer a greater variety of the latest contents to music lovers. Avex is Japan’s No 1 fully integrated entertainment provider and music label, incorporating popular in-house artists such as Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro, Kumi Koda, AAA, Exile, J Soul Brothers, Generations, E-Girls and May J.
BEC-Tero Music will now be the sole caretaker of Avex music content including songs, artists and marketing activities in Thailand. Before, it only distributed content and organised the shows of some artists in Thailand.
“This partnership is timely and sound in line with the market up-trend of Asian music and future prospects.
“The combined reinforcement of Avex’ specialisation in J-rock and J-pop in the Asian region and BEC-Tero Music’s expertise in entertainment contents and digital service providing will expand the Asian-music fan base to reach every segment in an even wider market on top of existing Thai and international music admirer groups,” Paul said.
The relationship will start with joint marketing to serve music contents from Avex’ leading artists in compact-disc and digital formats. In the future,
the company will expand distribution through new channels as well as organise meet-and-greet activities for fans.
BEC-Tero Music has made a successful entry into the Asian music market within three years to become one of Thailand’s top music labels. “Given the continual increase of the J-rock and J-pop fan base, our success and swift growth are driven by two factors,” Paul said.
“First, we present music contents that meet the demand of target groups through the imported shows from popular and Thai-fan favourite J-rock and J-pop bands and live broadcasting concerts of top artists in cinemas such as Kaname Kawabata, Nana Mizuki, Perfume, Vamps and Over The L’Arc-en-Ciel. “Second, the synergy strategy with partners specialising in related businesses enables BEC-Tero Music to win the hearts of Thai music fans on an ongoing basis.”
