The PTT board of directors yesterday unanimously appointed PTT Exploration and Production chief executive officer Tevin Vongvanich as the next PTT CEO, replacing Pailin Chuchottaworn, whose term will end on September 9.
PTT chairman Piyasvasti Amranand said that after this the board and Tevin would enter talks on his salary and the result would be considered on July 24. Tevin will take office on September 10.
Piyasvasti said the board chose Tevin because he is an expert in the petroleum sector and has demonstrated outstanding performance for the past 30 years. The board believes Tevin will be able to steer PTT towards further growth. Piyasvasti said one of the challenges Tevin would face was the falling price of crude oil globally.
