BDMS share price eases on acquisition report

Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) share price eased by 2.27 per cent Thursday morning, after the company unveiled the Bt10.8 billion acquisition for the 15-rai Park Nai Lert property.

At noon, BDMS share price is Bt21.50, down by Bt0.50 from yesterday closing. The stock closed at Bt21.60, down by Bt0.40 or 1.82 per cent. 
The property on Wireless Road now locates Swissotel Nai Lert Park hotel and Promenade buildings. The 36-year five-star hotel will cease operations at the end of this year. 
In a filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, BDMS said that the property would be turned to BDMS Wellness Clinic.
BDMS Wellness Clinic Co Ltd will be established with a registered capital of Bt6.4 billion, to handle the transaction and project development.
BDMS currently owns and manages six major hospital brands: Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej Hospital, BNH Hospital, Phyathai Hospital, Paolo Hospital and the Royal Hospital. Our hospitals are located throughout Thailand, in all major cities, including Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Samui, as well as two hospitals in Cambodia.
