NMG vows to pay in full all due promissory notes

NMG vows to pay in full all due promissory notes

NATION MULTIMEDIA Group will take urgent steps to settle due promissory notes, while working to improve the content of NMG’s two digital television channels, according to one of the group’s new directors, Thepchai Yong. He said NMG’s new board of directors had resolved to pay in full the due promissory notes after negotiations with all investors.

The company will make the repayments including interest, he said.
Regarding business plans, Thepchai said NMG was continuing to bring the content of all its media more into line with audience behaviour, particularly the two digital TV channels, to ensure a steady source of income.
One of those channels, NOW26, with its focus on being the No 1 documentary outlet, will collaborate with global documentary channels like National Geographic, Discovery Channel and the British Broadcasting Corporation. NOW26 is also teaming up with Thailand’s leading documentary producers.
Aside from documentaries, NOW26 also broadcasts other programmes ranging from news to sports.
NOW26’s ratings continue to rise, moving up from 12th in September to seventh at the end of November.
Thepchai said Nation TV planned to join forces with its allies to enrich its content, and its news programmes would be developed to make it one of the top news channels.
