Central Group has appointed Pakorn Partanapat as Central Pattana (CPN) chief operating officer.
His primary responsibilities are to boost and oversee sales and marketing, manage assets, and strengthen the organisational structure in readiness for CPN’s expansion of domestic and international shopping centres.
Pakorn has extensive experience in developing new financial businesses and products, and is a respected veteran noted for his expertise in managing and operating retail banking for nearly 30 years. His last position before switching industries to retail and joining CPN was senior executive vice president of Kasikornbank, head of the Retail Business Division and Service Networks Division.
Tos Chirathivat, chief executive officer of Central Group, said that the shopping centre business had continued to grow, and forecast that it would comprise 18.7 million square metres of retail gross floor area in 2017.
In the past year CPN opened 30 shopping centres and plans to open three more this year at Central Plaza Nakhon Ratchasima, Central Plaza Mahachai, and Central Phuket.
